We publish Market Information tables alongside our Water Resources Management Plan (WRMP) to encourage third parties to identify and propose potential solutions for water supply, demand management or leakage reduction services. We then assess and compare these options with our own in-house options to develop our next Water Resources Management Plan – currently due Autumn 2029.
Our supply area is divided into eight water resource zones (WRZs) which are used to plan our long term water resources strategy. For each WRZ, we have information such as supply-demand balance challenges, treatment capacities and constraints, and geographical data outlining its boundary. Where zones are affected by a potential future imbalance, the measures to maintain a supply - demand balance are documented in our latest WRMP.
This document sets out how we will support the WRMP by ensuring the appropriate sourcing of water resources, demand management and leakage services. It allows potential bidders to understand the context, scope, principles and process to supply Affinity Water with these services and to give confidence that third party bids will be assessed fairly against in-house solutions.
